Eva was exposed to fashion from a very young age as Catherine’s business originated in their family home. Over the years she spent many afternoons in the studios and fit rooms of Catherine’s workspace where her love of design began. Eva started working with the company more formally while in high school. Living in Italy at the time, she would take the train to meet Catherine for Paris Fashion weeks and for her annual exhibition at Maison & Objet.
Eva then moved back to Vancouver to complete a BA in Psychology & Biology at The University of British Columbia. While at University, she continued to travel to New York and Paris three times a year for the Spring, Fall and Resort markets. In market Eva would model the collection and gradually began to develop a relationship with the stores, providing creative feedback and working with them on their seasonal buys. Throughout the year Eva would return to the studio to collaborate with Catherine on design ideas, fittings and photo shoots.
After graduating University, Eva worked in a neurobiology lab and then went on to work as a Mental Health Worker on Vancouver’s down town east side. While she loved this work, she felt an element of her life that she’d long been exposed to was now missing. The drive to create and continue the Catherine Regehr brand eventually drew her into her current role in the company.
As well as being the international sales director, Eva now co-designs the collections alongside her mother. She brings with her a fresh and modern edge to the brand. Catherine and Eva share a similar aesthetic creating designs that are sophisticated, minimalist and timeless.
